SPLINTING, COMFORT AND FUNCTION

Dental mobilities which persist after periodontal treatment can be at the origin of a functional handicap for the patient.
One of the therapeutic mean proposed to resolve this handicap is the solidarisation of the mobile teeth by a splint of contention. Among the requirements of conception, the splint must allow an effective control of the bacterial plaque and the restoring of the stability of the relationships of occlusion. When combined, these two conditions will allow the patient to regain a comfortable manducatory function.
